One thing that has become clear over the past few years is that employment law is making the news more often. Health care reform and its effects on employers is regularly talked about by pundits and average Americans. Incidents involving employees and social media postings are also making headlines. Most recently, America was surprised to learn that its unpaid NCAA college athletes have a right to unionize.

Employment laws are everywhere affecting every person in the United States who has even applied for a job. They impact the documents a person must present to start their job, how employees are trained, employee wages, employee benefits, the rights of employees with medical conditions, and whether they can be terminated.

The world of employment law has evolved drastically in its complexity. As a result, both employers and employees need to have a trusted adviser on their rights. This blog will focus on some of the more interesting applications of employment laws.
